During the group evaluation, our staff will perform a general physical assessment to identify any physical constraints that limit performance or put the player at risk for injury. Following the physical assessment, our staff will perform a video analysis of each player’s throwing mechanics to identify any mechanical inefficiencies that we consider barriers to improved performance and have been shown to contribute to injuries in throwing athletes.
No actual training will take place during the group evaluation. The findings of our evaluation are used to design a customized training plan for each throwing athlete. Players will need to register for one of our on-going Total Pitching Development training sessions for instruction and implementation for all corrective exercises and drills. It is highly recommended that each player be reassessed every 90-120 days to check their progress and to make any necessary adjustments to their training plans.
