Chapin F. George

Chapin comes to RockIt from Middle Tennessee State University where he served as a Graduate Assistant in the mens’ basketball program. He was responsible for operational management along with skill development practices and workouts for the team. He was fortunate enough to be a part of MTSU’s first NCAA tournament team in 25 years.

As a student athlete, Chapin played football and basketball at Douglas S. Freeman High School. He then played slot receiver for Hampden-Sydney College and was a member of two Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship football teams, as well as 3 NCAA tournament teams.

After Hampden-Sydney, Chapin was hired as an assistant basketball coach at The Steward School in Richmond, Virginia. He assisted head coach Elliott Gravit and also coached the junior varsity basketball team, as well as the 6th grade boys’ team. After an undefeated (24-0) junior varsity season, as well as a respectable varsity showing, he was accepted into the Sport Management Master’s Program at Middle Tennessee State University.
