Jonathan joins the RockIt family from the Central Coast of California, bringing a unique insight into the game of basketball with the bulk of his leadership experience coming from his years as a quarterback. After his high school career as a four-sport-athlete, Jonathan followed his ambition to play Div-I football by way of the local JC. Making waves in a competitive JC system, Dally became a mid-year transfer to Div-I Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. As a two-year starter, Jonathan helped lead the Mustangs to two of their most dominant years in school history ('07 & '08 seasons). After his Collegiate Career, Jonathan went on to play 5 seasons in Europe; winning two Italian Bowl Championships and becoming two-time Italian Bowl MVP in the process.
In the spring of 2014, coach Dally began his coaching career while still playing overseas in Milan, Italy with the roles of starting QB and Offensive Coordinator. In the fall of 2014, he began coaching quarterbacks at the college level for NCAA Div-II Lenoir-Rhyne University (Hickory, N.C.). Jonathan split his next years between coaching Quarterbacks at LRU in the fall and as QB/Offensive Coordinator in Italy come spring.
- "Having the opportunity to coach through such cultural extremes has taught me how to break the game down into its simplest form, in order to provide relatable instruction."
Jonathan has been with RockIt as a basketball coach since 2017 and has always been a student of the game. Coach Dally's philosophy is anchored by building meaningful relationships, creating a culture of leaders through understanding and making things simple.
Coach Dally lives in the West End with his wife Laura, their three children: Mason (7), Dexter (13 mo.) and Delaney (13 mo.); and his little sister Victoria (16).
