Pitching Coach & Arm Care Specialist

Mike Zandler

We are excited to welcome Coach Mike Zandler as our new Pitching Coach and Arm Care Specialist.  Mike comes to RockIt from Harvard University where he served as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Crimson baseball program from 2014-2016. Under Zandler’s leadership, the 2014 Crimson pitching staff lowered its ERA by more than two runs from the 2013 campaign and posted the lowest team ERA in more than two decades. During his tenure at Harvard, the Crimson pitching staff has seen four pitchers either taken in the MLB draft or sign professionally.

“Coach Zandler will design our arm care and pitching program for RockIt’s 8u-18u teams”, says RockIt Baseball Director Adam Taylor, “this will allow our coaches to have more focused practice planning while ensuring players develop their whole game.”

In addition to supporting our RockIt teams, Coach Zandler will offer a comprehensive group pitching program which incorporates a systematic approach to training.   He uses a physical assessment and video analysis to prepare a personalized training plan and hands on instruction. The program will launch this fall.  Specific details will be released later this summer.
